EPISODE 44:

In Tasmania on Misery Plateau, huge trees are felled to
produce newsprint for Australian newspapers. We see how this is achieved from felling the trees to the finished rolls of paper. In Victoria on the banks of the Murray River a retired couple live a kind of subsistence existence in total isolation from the city they have left behind. The twin lakes of Echem and Barine on the Atherton Tablelands of Queensland are the ancient cores of volcanoes which were active 12,000 years ago. We see the lakes and their abundant wildlife today.

Stars: Mike Leyland, Mal Leyland
